Her Orc Blacksmiths (Black Bear Clan, Bonus Book) - Zoe Ashwood

All Good Things Come in Threes.

The author has kicked the spice level up a notch. This book features the first throuple of the series. Two very enthusiastic mates for our lucky lady. One very large bed for them all to share. What more could a woman want?

This is a superb series of Orc romance books and it’s my absolute favourite. I love the author’s writing style; its so easy to read. I love the characters and their development throughout the story. It’s pure escapist fantasy and I cannot get enough of it.

This series is full of spice and this book is no exception—there is a good amount of spice in this book, especially towards the end—let’s face it, that’s what most of us are here for. This author knows how to write a good spicy scene. You won’t be disappointed.

All the books in this series can be read as standalones but I would recommend reading them in series order. Chances are, if you love a good monster romance with a fair bit of heat and a happy ever after, then you will want to read the whole series anyway.

The reading order for this series so far:

Her Orc King (Black Bear Clan, Book 1)

Her Orc Guardian (Black Bear Clan, Book 2)

Her Orc Warrior (Black Bear Clan, Book 3)

Her Orc Protector (Black Bear Clan, Book 4)

Her Orc Husband (Black Bear Clan, Book 5)

Her Orc Gentleman (Black Bear Clan, Book 6)

Her Orc Blacksmiths (Black Bear Clan, Book 7)

This book will be available from Amazon later in 2024

Freed in Love (Nora Moss Series, Book 3) - Zoe Ashwood

The action-packed conclusion to this tale of witches and sea dragons

This is the third and final book in the Nora Moss Series, a Paranormal Romance and Reverse Harem series. The book is primarily set in Greece and has very descriptive scenes of sexual interactions between all four of the main characters; three males and a female.

Nora Moss is a witch who feels that magical knowledge should be shared with all witches and not just held by a select few covens. Her mission is to access the extensive secret libraries of the Scottish Coven by entering their annual magical treasure hunt. All is not what it seems, however. Secrets are revealed and Nora’s mission to have knowledge shared amongst all witches will either succeed or fail spectacularly, ending in tragedy.

My wish at the end of book two was that the trio become a full harem and I’m delighted to say, I got my wish.

This wonderful world of Witches and Sea Dragons is one I like to get lost in. Sadly, I have a feeling this might be the last time we are brought to this place. I hope that’s not the case though.

I really enjoy Zoe Ashwood’s writing style and story telling. The stories are well paced and beautifully described. The characters are relatable and develop well throughout the book.

If you’ve read Zoe Ashwood’s other two series (Sea Dragons of Amber Bay and Norse Sea Dragons), you’ll be familiar with this world of Witches and Sea Dragons. This new series runs parallel to those.

Emergence of Fire (Queen of Arcadia, Book 1) - Dreia Wells

Excellent start to a new Paranormal Romance series

This is the first book in a new PNR RH series from Dreia Wells. The book is set both in modern day Earth as well as in the realms of the Druids and the Dragons. There are scenes of betrayal and murder and there are descriptive scenes of consensual sexual activity between one female and her three mates.

I really enjoyed this book. It's among my favourite of her books so far. I really like the story, the characters are well thought out and the worldbuilding and magic systems are great.

The book begins with a coup; the betrayal of the Dragon Queen and the rescue of the infant princess. The rest of the book is set thirty years later, when the princess has grown. Discovering that she is a dragon is surprising enough. Discovering that she is destined to be queen of the dragon realm and that she will have three fated mates is beyond anything she could have imagined. To fulfil her destiny she will have to take on the evil which destroyed her family all those years ago. They know she survived and they are coming for her. Can she get to grips with her new found powers and the upheaval life has thrown her way in time to take them on?

This is a fun book. I enjoyed reading it. I can see characters in this who I’d like to know more about and I hope they get their own books as either part of this series or a spin-off series. Roll on Book 2!

Salvation (An Owensen Witches Story) - Dreia Wells

Action filled steamy Vampire romance.

Salvation is a standalone Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance novel set three years after the events in the original Owensen Witches trilogy (Chosen, Temptation, Destiny). There are descriptive scenes of a sexual nature.

I really enjoyed this book. Dreia Wells has an easy to read writing style, which has developed and improved markedly since her first book was published. Her characters are interesting and the world building is solid. This story focuses on the Vampires, who were briefly mentioned in the original trilogy but not a main feature.

The Vampires are dying out. To reduce their ability to challenge him, the Devil used witchcraft to remove their ability to create progeny. Roman, leader of the local Vampire clan, thinks he may have found a way to reverse the curse and save his species. This involves the kidnapping of two Owensen Witches, risking the wrath of the powerful Owensen family.

Roman gets a lot more than he bargained for though. Other clan leaders are fearful of his motives and betrayal within his own clan threatens to tear them all apart. Can he save his species, as well as defend himself on all sides from rival clans and the Owensen family?

Not only that, can he come to terms with his emerging and confusing feelings for Tempest Owensen who already has another potential Vampire suitor in Faust, the bodyguard he appointed to keep her safe? Will they come to blows over her or can the three of them cohabit in a polyamorous relationship?

If you’ve read the original trilogy, you will definitely want to read this.

Thud - Skye MacKinnon

Christmas as you’ve never envisioned it. A fun and stabby festive read.

This novella is a Christmas Special spin off set four years after the events in the Catnip Assassins series. It’s a fun story which can be read as a stand alone; readers do not need to have read the series to understand this book.

This is a short, entertaining and unusual Christmas story featuring a supernatural family of one female and three males. Bored during the holidays while their children are away, the family take on an investigative job for the agency they used to run. There has been a murder. It may involve supernatural beings and the former investigator / assassin family seems just the group to look into it.

This is Christmas as you’ve probably never envisioned it. Secretive cults, sacrificial rituals and manipulative, power hungry leaders meet a sarcastic, frustrated former assassin who just wants to get back into the swing of things. All she wants for Christmas is the opportunity to get a bit stabby. Surely that’s not too much to ask.

I really like Skye MacKinnon’s style of writing. This was a fun read. I will definitely go back and read the Catnip Assassins series.

The Intergalactic Guide to Humans, Volume 1 - Skye MacKinnon

A hilarious, ridiculous and quite steamy romp through space with the most adorable and inept aliens. I loved it.

This is a Reverse Harem Sci-Fi Romance box set containing three books: Alien Abduction for Beginners, Alien Abduction for Professionals, Alien Abduction for Experts. The books are set primarily on a spaceship and a few planets throughout the galaxy and feature both alien and human beings. There is romance and several descriptive scenes of consenting interspecies sexual activity between several beings.

I absolutely loved these books. The characters are very individual and there were many moments when I actually did laugh out loud. The concept of inept alien abductors is not one I’ve come across before when reading this genre. The writing is witty, the world building is great and the characters are all very well developed. I read through all three books in this set over the course of two evenings and that was only because I was forced to put it down to do real life things.

This is a tale of discovery for all the main characters; each of them developing their strengths and improving their lives along the way, often purely by accident.

This is the story of three almost incompetent males who have enrolled at the Inter Galactic University on a course to learn how to abduct other beings. Its a point of pride for them. Something their race is expected to excel at and they need the qualification.

They target Earth and human females in particular because, well, boobs. That’s it basically. They are fascinated by boobs. Fortunately for them, their human abductee is found unconscious and lying by the roadside near a spaceport after crashing her bike. As a bonus, she has boobs in abundance and luckily for the males, she is more than happy to have been swiped from her poverty stricken existence on a desolate Earth to travel the galaxy with them.

This book is entertaining, ridiculous and funny. I’d definitely recommend it. I’m off to check out the rest of the books from this author.

Captured in Love (Nora Moss Series, Book 2) - Zoe Ashwood

Witches, Sea Dragons and near-death experiences fill this steamy RH PNR.

This is the second book in the Nora Moss Series, a Paranormal Romance and Reverse Harem series. The book is primarily set in Iceland and has very descriptive scenes of sexual interactions between all three of the main characters; two males and a female.

I really enjoy Zoe Ashwood’s writing style and story telling. Her world of Witches and Sea Dragons is one I like to get lost in.

Nora Moss is a witch who feels that magical knowledge should be shared with all witches and not just held by a select few covens. Her mission is to access the extensive secret libraries of the Scottish Coven by entering their annual magical treasure hunt. Following her near death experience in Egypt on the first leg, she, along with her boyfriends Levi and Raphael, have headed to Iceland to collect their second token.

Iceland is a place where witches have not been seen in decades. The tokens they need to collect are deep under the sea and underground in a long abandoned Sea Dragon city. The mission is fraught with danger and it’s starting to seem as though the deadliest traps are set up to target Nora specifically.

Secrets from Levi’s past catch up with him and the relationship between him, Nora and Raphael could unravel just as they seem to be settling into being a trio. Once again they find themselves on the same path as Isak and his real identity becomes apparent. Nora finds herself drawn to him and I, as a reader, am now wondering if this trio is destined to become a full harem. Please let it become a full harem!

New Horizons (The Baron's Hand Saga, Book 1) - Heather Relken

An epic saga of Love, Loss and New Beginnings. Reach for the stars. You never know where life will take you.

This book is the first in a Reverse Harem Sci-Fi Romance series by Heather Relken. It is predominantly set on a spacecraft orbiting Earth and features human and alien beings. It can be read as a standalone novel. There is some violence and there are several descriptive scenes of consenting inter-species sexual activity between a trio of one human female and two alien males.

Heather Relken is a very talented writer. The story is well paced and flows beautifully. I didn’t want to put it down. The worldbuilding and descriptions of alien craft, creatures, cultures and traditions are vivid and feel realistic. The aliens in this book are technologically very advanced and not overly humanoid in appearance.

There are scenes of suspense, action and violence. There are also descriptive scenes of a sexual nature; with the exception of one where there is questionable consent due to language barriers, they are all consenting and they are part of the characters' bonding with each other, therefore are necessary to the plot of the story.

Someone has discovered Earth; a previously unknown planet hidden away in the far reaches of the universe. Someone is kidnapping humans, stripping their memories and selling them for wildly high prices at auction. Humans were previously unknown in the wider galaxy. The Turukai have been tasked with monitoring Earth to find out more about them and who is taking them.

Lila Riley Reagan has taken herself off hiking in the mountains to distract her broken heart from the one-year anniversary of her break-up from a long term relationship. The last thing she expected to find herself doing was being caught up in a gunfight between alien beings and government agents.

After falling from a cliff, breaking her legs, trying to rescue an injured alien, being unceremoniously dragged off to a secret facility for questioning along with that alien, then rescued from that facility by said alien, she could be forgiven for thinking that was enough drama for one day.

She’d be wrong though. She wakes up on a spacecraft in a medical bay with newly repaired legs and surrounded by strange creatures. She’s hauled off and presented to the Exalt, the leader of this military operation, where she faces trial to test her worthiness and is subsequently claimed as a mate by the Exalt. That’s where her adventures really begin.

This is a long, action-packed novel and I really struggled to put it down. The characters are well developed, individual and deep. The story was really well thought out and interesting. I was thoroughly immersed in this world. I cannot wait to see what else this author produces. I want more of this universe.

Breathless - Heather Relken

Two’s company but three’s a party in this steamy underwater ménage à trois

This is a short, standalone Sci-Fi Romance novella set somewhere in a not too distant galaxy. It is RH and LGBTQ. There are descriptive scenes of consenting interspecies sexual activity between two males and a female.

I love Heather Relken’s style of writing. She paints pictures with her words and they just draw me in. If steamy, consensual alien interactions are your thing, you will love this.

The galaxy is a vast place, housing the strange and unusual. Amongst the strange and unusual are a race of benevolent beings, more than 100 feet tall who like to collect other species as pets. They are often thought of as mythical beings; stories told to keep children compliant.

Milo, a human male, discovers just how real they are when he finds himself captured and wakes up in a seemingly idyllic beach side paradise. The complete opposite of his former home. Milo’s quiet life in his beachfront dwelling is interrupted by the arrival of Vano, a being who looks very much like the human description of mermaids, or a merman in this case. The two begin a passionate love affair until the arrival of Mri, a female of the same species as Vano, changes their dynamic. Milo has never been attracted to human females but mermaids are a different story. Two may be company but three's a party and all of them want to play.

Stowaway (The Baron's Hand Saga, Book 1) : Heather Relken

An epic tale of abandonment and loss but above all, one of love and family

This book is the first in a Reverse Harem Sci-Fi Romance series by Heather Relken. It is set in a distant galaxy and features human and alien beings. It can be read as a standalone novel. There is some violence and there are several descriptive scenes of consenting inter-species sexual activity between all three males and one female.

Someone has discovered Earth, a previously unknown planet hidden away in the far reaches of the universe. Someone is kidnapping humans, stripping their memories and selling them for wildly high prices at auction.

Cinn is a human female who’s first memory is of waking up in a chaotic and crowded barn, with a group of humans being auctioned off to the highest bidders. She doesn’t recognise any of the alien species surrounding her. She doesn’t understand any of their languages. She is bought by someone who looks like an angel but feels like a devil. She has no idea if this is normal or legal but she knows she has to get away if she is to survive.

At her first opportunity she escapes and hides herself in the storage area of a small vehicle, which happens to be an interplanetary craft belonging to a family of farming aliens. She is of course discovered by them mid-flight. What follows is a journey of her learning to communicate with four different species of aliens, coming to terms with having no family and not knowing her place in the universe, wanting to be part of this family and avoiding being reclaimed by the Angel.

This is an epic tale of abandonment and loss but above all, one of love and family. Each character is well thought through, deep and complex. Their interactions and behaviours feel real and almost tangible. As a reader, I could feel Cinn’s sense of loss and wanting to belong. I could feel her hope and her love for the family who had taken her in. I could feel her anxiety over being discovered by the Angel and her terror of being taken again.

There are scenes of suspense, action and violence. There are trigger warnings where appropriate. There are also descriptive scenes of a sexual nature. They are consenting and they are part of the characters bonding with each other, therefore are necessary to the plot of the story.

The worldbuilding and descriptions of alien landscapes are vivid and feel realistic. The aliens are not all humanoid in appearance and each species has defining characteristics and abilities which make them unique. Humans are rare and unusual.

Heather Relken is a very talented writer. She clearly has a passion for linguistics and this is evident in her attention to detail when it comes to alien languages. The book contains an index of the alien races, the languages spoken and which existing languages influenced them. The story is well paced and flows beautifully. I didn’t want to put it down.

Although this is the first book in the series, it is the second one I have read. Each can be read as a standalone. I cannot wait to see what else this author produces. I want more of this universe.

Cursed in Love (Nora Moss Book 1) : Zoe Ashwood

Steamy RH PNR. Witches, Vampires, a mission and an unexpected rage fuelled ancient god.

This is the first book in a new series from Zoe Ashwood. This is a Paranormal Romance and Reverse Harem series and has very descriptive scenes of sexual interactions between all three of the main characters; two males and a female.

Nora Moss is a witch on a mission. Tired of ancestral magical knowledge being held in the hands of a few old covens, her goal is to share the knowledge with all witches. She gets her chance when she tricks her way into an annual magical treasure hunt organised by an old Scottish coven, with the grand prize being a full day’s access to their extensive library of grimoires.

Fellow competitor, Isak tries unsuccessfully to warn her off but Nora is undeterred. With the help of her best friend, Levi, the witch she’s been secretly in love with since childhood, and her vampire ex boyfriend Raphael, she sets out to Egypt on the first leg of three in the hunt. Along the way they meet Isak again. There is something strange about this large Icelandic male. He doesn’t seem like an ordinary witch. In fact it’s possible that he might just be something else entirely.

If you’ve read Zoe Ashwood’s other two series (Sea Dragons of Amber Bay and Norse Sea Dragons), you’ll be familiar with this world of Witches and Sea Dragons. This new series runs parallel to those.

The story is filled with action, danger, violence and a fair amount of descriptive sexual activity between all three main characters.

As ever, the world building is great, the magical system is easy to understand and the characters are likeable and relatable. I enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to the next one.

Seduced (Sea Dragons of Amber Bay Book 3) : Zoe Ashwood

Steamy PNR RH. The conclusion of this story arc... but I still want more.

This is the third in a trilogy set in the wilds of Alaska. This is a Paranormal Romance and Reverse Harem series and has several very descriptive scenes of sexual interactions between all four main characters; three males and a female.

In this book, Skye’s family appear to have been tracking her and the threat to the sea dragons is real and imminent. Can she gain enough control over her unusual magic to protect her village?

Skye’s bonds with Jack and Ty are strong; Jack and Ty have sexual interactions with Skye and with each other but Aiden is still unsure of his place within this polyamorous unit.

I have really enjoyed this series of books. I like the author’s style of writing, her characters and the world building. There is actually an interesting story concept along with all the explicit sex scenes. I hope there are more books to come at some point. The history of conflict between sea dragons and witches, and the potential for resolution is something which could be further explored.

Ensnared (Sea Dragons of Amber Bay Book 2) : Zoe Ashwood

Steamy PNR RH. I read this in a few hours and already want more.

This is the second in a completed trilogy set in the wilds of Alaska. This is a Paranormal Romance and Reverse Harem series and has very descriptive scenes of sexual interactions between the four main characters; three males and a female.

This book picks up right where Tempted left off. Tech-witch, Skye is settled at Amber Bay. With Aiden’s help she’s beginning to get control over her magic and her life is looking good. Things are going well for her with Jack and Ty and her relationship with Aiden, although filled with conflict and angst, seems to be improving. He wants her and she definitely wants him. She finally feels like she is somewhere she belongs.

Her happy new existence doesn’t stay peaceful for long though. Someone or something is stalking Skye. Can she stay safe in this wilderness location?

I am really enjoying this story. I like Zoe Ashwood’s writing style. There are no grammatical issues or continuity errors to pull me out of the flow. I like the characters and the dynamics of their relationships. They have grown throughout the course of the last two books. I want to know what happens next. I’m so glad book three is already published.

Tempted (Sea Dragons of Amber Bay Book 1) : Zoe Ashwood

Steamy Paranormal Romance RH with dragons and witches

This is the first in a completed trilogy set in the wilds of Alaska. This is a Paranormal Romance and Reverse Harem series and has very descriptive scenes of sexual interactions between three of the main characters; two males and a female.

Skye is a witch with unusual tech-based powers. Powers which she doesn’t fully understand, can’t control and which neither her family nor coven place any value upon.

After being disowned by her family, Skye takes a two week tech job in the remote village of Amber Bay, Alaska, which unbeknown to her, is home to a clan of Sea Dragons. When family issues allow her to turn her two week contract into a long term contract, she has time to explore her feelings for two of the three males who have caught her eye.

Both Jack and Ty are very attentive males who, luckily for Skye, are happy to share and more than happy to have a threesome. Her new boss, Aiden is drawn to her but neither he nor Skye are prepared to act... yet.

This is a story of sea dragons and witches but each thinks the other is human. For centuries, sea dragons and witches have been pitted as mortal enemies. Although Aiden knows that Skye is a witch, she is sworn to secrecy and has to keep her true nature hidden from the rest of the village, including Jack and Ty.

Zoe Ashwood has an easy to read style of writing which flows well with the story. The characters are interesting and their interactions are believable. The book ends with a big cliffhanger and I can’t wait to dive into the next one.
